Acer VX 15, Acer Predator 15, and Acer Predator 17 India Launch Specs Price

Acer has launched 3 new gaming laptops: Acer VX 15, Acer Predator 15, and Acer Predator 17 in India. The laptops compete with the top of the line gaming laptops from MSI and Asus. Even Dell and Lenovo have sub 1 Lakh gaming laptops with a great gaming experience.

1. ACER VX 15

The Acer VX 15 is available on Flipkart and Acer stores. Moreover, it costs Rs. 88,000.

For starters, the laptop runs on 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700 HQ processor clocked at 2.8 GHz with boost upto 3.8 GHz.

Additionally, it has the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 TI ensures perfect gaming experience. You can play all the popular titles like call of duty: infinite warfare, GTA 5, Need for Speed payback at high graphics settings.

Next, It has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and comes with 1 TB of the hard drive along with a 128 GB solid state drive.

Also, the black and red design is futuristic and looks aggressive. It even has dual fans keeping your hardware at optimum temperature. So, when playing graphics intensive games, there is no downgrade of performance as it has adequate cooling.

The red backlit keyboard makes it perfect for gaming in a dark room making the experience more enjoyable. The VX 15 has a 15.6 inch(1080×1920) IPS display with wide viewing angles.

Also, it comes with Dolby audio premium, to ensure the sound output is undoubtedly clear. You can hear every single gunshot, foot steps or the car drift.  For connectivity, it offers USB 3.0 port, USB Type-C port, a Thunderbolt port, and an HDMI 2.0 port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Lastly, the laptop is not heavy, weighs 2.5 Kg.

2.  ACER PREDATOR 15

The Acer Predator notebook family’s new member PREDATOR 15, is a pricey mean machine. It is available for Rs. 159,900 in the Indian market. The Gaming laptop features a 15.6 inch (1080×1920) IPS, antiglare, G-SYNC enabled, display. Also, the laptop comes with V.R. support.

Powering the machine is the NVIDIA’s, Pascal architecture-based, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

Moreover, the laptop draws power from the 7th generation Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz and a Turbo Boost Upto 3.8 GHz. The Acer machine comes with a dust defender to keep your rig clean, and also ensures crucial components run smoothly.

Additionally, it has 16 GB of Ram, can be expanded upto 64 GB, and even houses a 1 TB hard disk, 128 GB SSD.

This gaming machine has Predator SoundPound 2.1 technology, with two speakers, a powerful sub-woofer, and a Dolby Audio, for incredible sound quality.

Moreover, the ProZone Keyboard offers superb accuracy, four customizable backlit zones and programmable macro profiles, you can even share with your team. A number pad and dedicated macro button give you the control you deserve to win in any game.

Further, the laptop seems overpriced, considering it runs on the GTX 1060 instead of the more powerful GTX 1070, available in some laptops in this price range.

For connectivity, it has USB 3.0 port, USB Type-C, a Thunderbolt and an HDMI 2.0, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1.

3. ACER PREDATOR 17

Last, in the series, is the Predator 17 the most powerful laptop offering a big 17.3-inch (1080×1920) IPS, antiglare, G-SYNC, VR ready display.

It is not a portable machine, weighs 4.2 Kg. I still don’t understand the point of spending so much money on an unmovable laptop, when you can build a more powerful PC within the same budget.

To begin with, it has NVIDIA  GeForce 1070, 8 GB VRAM, graphics card and also runs on 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor.

It houses Predator Sense that gives you access to gaming features like keyboard macro profiles to switch in-game options and adjustable lighting configurations.

The gaming laptop has four speakers, two subwoofers and Dolby Audio for a rich sound experience.

Egregiously, it is very expensive and costs 1,75,990 which is exorbitantly high for a Nvidia GTX 1070 machine. For this price, you can easily build a desktop running GTX 1080 and a Kaby Lake Core i7 processor that I am sure will offer at least 1.5X the Gaming performance, in comparison to the Acer Predator 17.

Further, Predator 17 has 16 GB of ram expandable upto 64 GB and houses a 1 TB hard disk, 128 GB SSD.

Also, it comes with RGB keyboard has customizable multicolored backlight zones, with 16 million colors to choose from, and programmable macro profiles.

Additionally, it has a number pad and dedicated macro buttons that give you the control for improving game performance. For connectivity, the laptop has all the standard options:  USB 3.0, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt, HDMI 2.0 port, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1.

Lastly, Razer also recently launched a new Project Valeri Laptop and Acer has even launched new Acer Helios 300 Gaming machine.
