Vivo X70, X70 Pro, X70 Pro Plus – Launch, Specs, Price

On 30th September 2021, Vivo has launched the new Vivo X70 series in India, which is the successor to the popular Vivo X60 series.

The X60 Series is a best seller for the brand in India and we are expecting that Vivo will launch the X70 series in the Indian market in November 2021.

Vivo X70 series has three phones – Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro, and Vivo X70 Pro+. However, the company has so far launched only 2 models – the X70 Pro and the X70 Pro+.

The X70 series promises to offer professional-grade camera experience with inbuilt Ultra-Sensing Gimbal and unmatched performance with Vivo’s Professional Imaging Chip V1.

Vivo marks the next chapter with the launch of the X70 series in its strategic imaging partnership with ZEISS, a global technology leader in optics and optoelectronics.

All of these new phones are premium and offer incredible features and specs.

Let’s have a look at the specs of each phone:

Vivo X70 Pro – Key Specs and Features

Vivo X70 Pro

Display –The display of the X70 Pro is also the same as the X60 which is 6.56 inch AMOLED display with FHD+(2376*1080) resolution. However, the screen-to-body ratio of X70 Pro is higher (90.3%) resulting in thinner bezels and more viewing area.

Processor –Powering the X70 Pro is a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Octa-Core processor which is fabricated on a 6nm chipset and clocked at a 3Ghz that delivers blazing-fast performance. I am sure a lot of us would have liked the Snapdragon 888 instead of the Exynos processor.

And, it has an ARM Mali-G77 GPU for handling your game-related tasks.

It runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on the latest Android 11.

Variants – The Vivo X70 Pro arrived in the following variants:

  • 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
  • 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
  • 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

But, without storage expandable support.

Camera – The smartphone comes with an upgraded Quad-camera setup at the rear carrying a 50MP(f/1.57) primary sensor, a 12MP(f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12MP(f/2.0) telephoto lens, and an 8MP(f/3.4) periscope lens.

At the front, the X70 Pro has a single 32MP(f/2.5) selfie shooter that can record up to 4k video at 30fps.

Note – Sensors, color variant, and connectivity options of the Vivo X70 Pro are the same as the Vivo X70.

Battery – Lastly. the smartphone is fueled by a decent 4450mAH battery capacity along with a 44 Watts fast charging support.

Availability, Color, and Price – The X70 Pro is priced at INR 46,990 (8+128GB), INR 49,990 (8+256GB), and INR 52,990 (12+256GB) will go on sale beginning October 7, 2021.

The X70 Pro will be available in two stunning colors — Cosmic Black and Aurora Dawn.

Vivo X70 Pro+ – Key Specs and Features

The X70 Pro is an excellent phone and offer flagship features and specs, but there are some feel good factors that are only present on the Pro+ version. Let’s check out these features and find out how it is different in comparison to the Pro variant.

The X70 Pro+ is the cutting edge flagship phone in the X-Series that comes with a eye-watering price tag.

Display – The X70 Pro+ features a large 6.78 inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole notch and an Ultra HD(3200*1440)pixel resolution.

It has a 90.1% screen-to-body ratio, 517ppi density, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Processor – The phone has the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor fabricated on a 5nm chipset and clocked at a 3.0Ghz.

The SD 888+ offers a slightly higher clock speed than the regular SD 888. However, you won’t find any difference in performance on day to day usage.

For your smooth gaming experience, it has an Adreno 660 GPU.

Notably, The X70 Pro+ runs on an Android 11 based on OriginOS 1.0

Variant – It comes in three variants:

  • 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
  • 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
  • 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

*There is no expandable storage.

Cameras – At the rear, the phone is equipped with a 50MP(f/1.6) primary camera, a 48MP(f/2.2) 114-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12MP(f/1.6) telephoto lens, and an 8MP(f/3.4) periscope lens and it can record up to 8k video at 30fps.

For capturing selfies, it has a 32 MP camera that can click detailed selfies to up your social media game.

Note – Sensors and connectivity options are the same as the above phones.

Battery – The Vivo X70 Pro+ packs a massive 5000mAH capacity battery that has support for 55 Watts fast charging and 50 Watts fast wireless support.

Color, Availability, and Price –The smartphone will be available in India from 12 October 2021 at a price of INR 79,990 (12+256GB) and comes in only Black color.

Note – Both the smartphones will be available on Vivo India E-store, Flipkart, Amazon and offline partner retail stores across India.

Vivo has not launched the Vivo X70 in India so far but they may launch it in near future. We can check the specs and top features for the Vivo X70 below.

Vivo X70 – Key Specs and Features

Display – The Vivo X70 has a similar display as the X60, a 6.56 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole notch and 120Hz refresh rate that delivers a buttery smooth touch experience.

Additionally, it comes with an FHD+ panel(2376*1080), 86.6% screen-to-body ratio, and a 398ppi density.

Processor – Powering it is the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, also used in the Oneplus Nord 2 and Oppo Reno 6 Pro. It is an octa-core processor that is fabricated on a 6nm chipset and clocked at 3Ghz that is enough for delivering fast performance.

Furthermore, you can play most modern games like Battlegrounds India or COD mobile as it comes with a decent ARM Mali-G77 GPU.

The Vivo X70 operates on OriginOS 1.0 based on the latest Android 11 operating system.

Variants – It is available in 3 variants:

  • 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
  • 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
  • 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

But, it does not offer expandable storage support.

Camera – The phone has got a Triple camera setup at the rear including a 48MP(f/1.9) Sony IMX766V sensor, 12MP(f/2.2) 116-degree ultrawide angle lens, and a 12MP(f/2.0) telephoto lens that can click detailed images and can shoot 4K videos at 30/60 fps.

Moreover, The Vivo X70 has a 32MP(f/2.4) front camera to capture high-quality selfies. I have tested the Vivo X60 and was fairly impressed by the cameras, much better than what Oneplus offers. The X70 may even offer better imaging capabilities than its predecessor.

Security and unlocking – It has an under-display fingerprint sensor and also comes with fast face unlocking support.

Battery – For long usage, the Vivo X70 comes with a 4400mAH battery capacity along with a 44 Watts Fast Charging support.

Connectivity – It supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth version 5.2, USB Type-C 2.0 cable for charging, and dual SIM 4G/5G network connectivity but lacks a 3.5mm earphone jack.

Color, Availability, and Price – The phone is available in China in three colors Cosmic Black, Aurora Dawn, and White.

The starting price of the phone in China is CNY 3,699(Rs 42,100). We can expect it to launch for under 40K in India.

The expected price is Rs. 38,990 for an 8 GB Ram and 128 GB Storage version.
