New Oppo Reno 7, Reno 7Pro – Top Features, Cameras, Battery Life

Oppo has launched the new Oppo Reno 7 Pro and the Reno 7 in the Indian market and both the devices are available online as well as offline with attractive EMI options and discounts.

The smartphones are available in 3 attractive colors – Morning Gold, Star Rain Wish, and Starry Night Black.

All three phones have a boxy design, a reminiscence of the new iPhone 13 Pro.

Brand new Oppo Reno 7 series

Oppo Reno 7 (5G)

It features a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with a center punch-hole design and FHD+(2400*1080) pixels resolution for starters.

Additionally, it offers a 90Hz refresh rate for a smooth touch experience. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 Octa-Core processor and 8 GB DDR4 ram are powering the device.

Notably, the device operates on Android 11 with a ColorOS 12 on top. It will get the Android 12 update soon as shared by the brand.

For photography, the phone has a praiseworthy Triple camera module at the rear carrying a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera.

Additionally, the Reno 7 has got a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie camera sensor.

The device measures 7.59mm (quite thin) and weighs 185grams(lightweight).

Moreover, it offers an In-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking and security.

Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth version 5.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C Port, and Dual SIM 5G/4G support.

Lastly, the Reno 7 packs a 4500mAH battery with a 60 Watts fast charging support.

The Oppo Reno 7 is available in India and it costs Rs. 28,990 for the 8 GB ram and 256 GB internal storage variant. Overall, it is a decent option if you are looking for a daily driver with good cameras.

The Reno 7 Pro is the most advanced phone of this series. Let’s have a look at its specs:

Powering the phone is a mighty MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Octa-core processor(6nm), and has an ARM Mali-G77 GPU for gaming.

Notably, it operates on a ColorsOS 12 based on the Android 11 operating system.

The device has a large 6.53-inch AMOLED punch-hole display, FHD+(2400*1080) pixel resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

At the rear, the phone got a Triple camera setup carrying a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro camera.

The Reno 7 Pro has a 32 MP Sony IMX 709 Sensor-based front camera for selfies.

The handset is comparatively thin than Reno 7 with 7.45mm thickness and weighs 180 grams.

Connectivity options are the same as Oppo Reno 7 5G.

Furthermore, the phone has a large 4500mAH battery with a 65 Watts fast charging support. Lastly, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro is made in India at Oppo’s mega factory.

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro (5G) comes with a fast Dimensity 1200 processor that is based on a 6 Nm manufacturing process. It is excellent for gaming as well as daily tasks. The primary rear and selfie cameras are top-notch and can click detailed images. The display is also decent but misses the 120 Hz refresh rate. The large battery capacity and fast charging support make this sleek device fun. Overall it is a good phone and hopefully, you can get some discounts and offers to sweeten the deal.

Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G (Launched in China)

The Reno 7 SE is the most affordable phone in the series. The device comes with the same display as Reno 7.

Powering the handset is a MediaTek Dimensity 900 Octa-core processor(6nm) for fast performance.

Moreover, it has an ARM Mali-G68 GPU for handling games.

It operates on Android 11 with ColorOS 12 on top.

Currently, the Reno 7 SE 5G is available in 2 storage variants:

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 25,700).
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB storage at CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 28,000).

Furthermore, it has a Triple rear camera setup carrying a 48MP Sony IMX581 primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.

Additionally, it got a 16MP Sony IMX471 front camera for clicking clear and bright selfies. It weighs 171grams and measures 7.45mm thick.

Connectivity options are the same as Reno 7, but it does not have NFC support.

Lastly, it has the same 4500 mAH capacity battery as the other phones in the series, however, offers only 33 Watts fast charging support.
