I am super excited to share with you some of the latest and most advanced laptops that will launch in 2022. The upcoming laptops will use the new Intel 12th Gen, AMD Ryzen 6000 series, and Apple M2 chipset.

Brands like ASUS, Acer, HP, Lenovo, and many are launching these laptops soon. Some of the below-mentioned laptops were also showcased at the Mobile World Congress (2022) in Spain and will soon launch commercially.

Acer Swift 3

First on our list is the new, Acer Swift 3 that was recently showcased by the company. It has 14 inches display with either FHD or QHD resolution option. Also, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a touchscreen panel. It runs on Windows 11 operating system and comes with the MS Office.

Further, powering it is the latest Intel 12th Gen Core i5 and i7 processor. Also, it packs an Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card for gaming and graphically intensive tasks.

Note – The thin and light weigh Intel laptops will use either the P series or the U series, processors. Whereas the gaming Laptops will have the H Series processors.

Intel Core i7 1260U or 1250U is coming with up to 10 and will have 12 threads. There are 2 performance Cores and 8 efficiency cores. Even the Core i5 is coming with up to 10 Cores that can offer a massive boost to performance vs the 11th Gen or the 10th Gen processors.

Intel 12th Gen P and U series

The notebook pairs up to 16 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD storage. It supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. The ports include – HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and audio combo jack.

Other notable features the laptop offers are an FHD webcam with Acer’s TNR technology, DTS audio speakers, TwinAir dual-fan cooling system with 65.8% enhancement for thermal efficiency. Further, the company claims that the laptop packs a powerful battery with fast charging support that charges up the device up to 4 hours in just 30 minutes.

Acer Swift 3 will be priced at EUR 1,199 (approx. INR 1,01,200) for the top model.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i

Lenovo has revealed the all-new IdeaPad Gaming 3i series with the latest Intel 12th Generation H Series processors (Intel 12700H) with advanced hybrid architecture with performance and efficiency cores.

In addition, the machine packs an Nvidia RTX 3050 or the RTX 3060 graphics card.

Moreover, the gaming notebook will be available in 15 inches display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Also, it pairs up to 32 GB RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 SSD storage. It runs Windows 11 Pro OS. The body weighs 2.5 kg and comes with a massive 71 Whr battery.

Other features include a 720p HD webcam with privacy shutter, dual-microphone array, and dual Watt stereo speakers. Also, it has a backlit keyboard.

The ports section includes – USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, RJ45, and DC-In. It supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The laptop will be available at starting price of EUR 1099 (Approx. INR 93,026).

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14


AMD recently debuted the new Ryzen 6000 series processor with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop. This new chipset will be thin, light, and has enhanced power efficiency.

The laptop comes with 14 inches IPS screen with 2560*1600p resolution. In addition, it has a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Moreover, powering the device is the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor with 8 cores and 16 threads architecture. The new AMD chipset is based on the Zen 3+ CPU cores and RDNA2 integrated graphics.

The notebook packs the new graphics card AMD Radeon RX 6800S. Also, it pairs up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB SSD storage.

Notably, the company claims to have a battery backup of up to 24 hours on a single charge with fast charging support. The Asus G14 2022 will debut soon and will also be available in many more configs.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i laptop comes loaded with the most advanced Intel Alder Lake processor. It has a 12th Gen Core i7 – 1255U chipset with 10 Cores (2P + 8E). Also, it has 12 threads, and it runs Windows 11 operating system.

Additionally, the notebook comes with three different screen resolutions of FHD (1920*1080p), 2.2K (2240*1400p), and 2.8K (2880*1800p). Also, it will be available in 14 inches and 16 inches of size. The ports have USB Type-C, 2 USB Type-A, HDMI, microSD card reader, Thunderbolt 4, and 3.5 mm combo audio jack.

The Flex 5i will be available to purchase this coming May, and it has a starting price of $619.99 (14 inches) and $899.99 (16 inches) in Storm Grey, Cloud Grey, and Stone Blue colors.

ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED laptop is one of the slimmest and light laptops with an elegant look and compact design. It comes with a 4K (3840*2400p) OLED HDR NanoEdge touch-enabled screen. Also, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and has the most vivid colors. It has ASUS ScreenPad for multi-tasking.

Moreover, the machine is powered by the powerful Intel 12th Gen Core i7 U series i7 and i5 processors with performance and efficiency cores. It runs Windows 11 Pro operating system.

The notebook may pack Nvidia GeForce MX550 discrete graphics cards. In addition, it pairs up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1 TB SSD storage. Notably, the device weighs only 1.4 kg and measures 16.9 mm thickness.

The ports comprise – USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, and audio jack.

Apple MacBook Air (M2 Chip)

It is rumored that Apple may unveil a new 13 Inch MacBook Air with the M2 Processor during the Apple Event on March 8th.

This new processor has 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, in total 8 to offer a smooth and reliable performance. One of the biggest upgrades with the M2 will be a 10 Core GPU that can improve performance for content creators significantly.

The new MacBook Air will have a significant redesign as per the leaked data. I currently use the Apple MacBook Air M1 that comes with a large top and bottom bezel which we think will be removed in favor of adding a notch display. Also, it may have colors resembling iMac.

In addition, the notebook will support MagSafe charging and has multiple USB ports. Also, it has white bezels notch display with a whole new squared-off layout.

Acer Swift 5

Acer Swift 5 Intel 12th Gen Laptop

Acer Swift 5 will be available this coming April with the starting price of EUR 1,799 (approx. INR 1,51,800) for the top model.

Powering it is the new Intel Alder Lake 12 – processor. It has an Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card and packs up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM (dual-channel). The storage has up to 2 TB PCIe M.2 NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage (blazing fast).

The 14 inches WQXGA (2560 * 1600p) touch-enabled display comes with thin bezels, and the Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen with ionic silver for durability and protection. Also, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio and about 92.22% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop runs Windows 11 operating system.

The laptop’s body comprises aerospace-grade aluminum components and has CNC unibody chassis. It weighs only 1.2 kg and measures 14.95 mm in thickness. Moreover, it has a backlit keyboard with Microsoft Precision Touchpad and has multi-gesture support.

Furthermore, the device comes with an FHD MIPI webcam and AI Noise Reduction technology. The Twin Air dual-fan system and D6 heat pipes keep the system cool and calm by increasing the thermal efficiency.

The port section comprises – WiFi 6E, HDMI 2.1, 2* Thunderbolt 4, 2* USB 3.2 Gen 1, and an audio jack. Also, the notebook supports a fingerprint sensor and Cortana with voice support and has Intel Evo verification.
