5 Upcoming Xiaomi Smartphones – K30, K30 5G, K30 Pro and Mi Note 10, Poco F2, Mix 4

Upcoming Xiaomi Smartphones – Redmi K30, K30 5G, K30 Pro, Mi Note 10, Poco F2, Mi Mix 4, Mi Max 3.

Update 10/December/2019 – Xiaomi is planning to launch 5 new exciting smartphones in the next couple of months in India and China.

Let’s start with the most anticipated Upcoming Xiaomi mobiles – the Redmi K30 and the K30 5G.

1). Xiaomi Redmi K30 and K30 5G

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 and the K20 Pro in India on 24th July 2019, and on 10th December 2019, company has launched the K30 and the K30 5G in China. 

We are expecting Xiaomi to launch the K30 in India in February 2020. However, the company will not launch the K30 5G in India as there is no 5G network provider.

One of the key highlights for the Redmi K30 series is the punch hole camera, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10.

Also, both the phones come with a 120 Hz refresh rate display.  

Both the phones come with a Quad-Rear Camera setup. The K30 series debut the new 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as the primary rear camera with f/1.89 aperture, 1/1.7-inch sensor & 6P lens.

  • Ram – 6/8 GB RAM
  • Superior Audio Enhancement.
  • Fingerprint Scanner – Side-Mounted
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack – Yes
  • Wireless Charging – No
  • Battery – Non-removable – with 4500 mAH battery (Fast charging support 27 Watts).
  • USB Type C – Port.
  • Supports – 4G Volte, NFC, IR
  • Price Starts at CNY 1599 or Rs. 16,200.

Key Upgrades for the Redmi K30 5G

The Redmi K30 5G comes with some upgrades in comparison to the Redmi K30.

The biggest upgrade is the presence of Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G chipset that comes with the X52 Modem-RF 5G System. 

The phone will offer 5G connectivity to the users.

It is the first smartphone to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and the Adreno 620 GPU for gaming. 

The K30 5G comes with 64 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP setup as the macro lens is 5MP on the 5G model instead of 2 MP macro lens. 

Also, the 5G variant comes with 30 Watts Charger instead of 27 Watts on the 4G version. 

The price for the K30 5G starts at CNY 1999 or Rs. 20,200 for the 6 GB Ram and 64 GB base version.

The company has not launched the K30 Pro at the moment and may launch it later.

2). Xiaomi Mi Note 10 – 108 Megapixel Quad-Camera Phone

Recently, Xiaomi launched the Mi CC9 in China and now the company will launch it as Mi Note 10 in India. The launch information is confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Mr. Manu Kumar Jain on Twitter.

The highlight of the Mi Note 10 is presence of 108 Megapixel rear camera, a first on any mobile in the world.

The Mi Note 10 comes with Penta Rear camera setup and is one of the highest-rated mobiles based on the DxOMark score.

The camera offers 4 axis OIS and also has a large 1.69-micron aperture size.

The base variant of the Mi Note 10 comes with 6 GB ram and with 128 GB internal storage and costs Euro 549 or Rs. 42,399. However, for India, we can expect a more competitive price (the price in China is about Rs. 28,000.

The Mi Note 10 will go against the Oneplus 7T and Realme X2 PRO.

  • Fingerprint Scanner – In-Display
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack – Yes
  • Battery 5260 mAH battery (Fast charging support 30 Watts)
  • USB Type C – Port.
  • Expected Price – Starts at Rs. 30,000.

3). Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 – 5G and 12 GB RAM Mobile

Xiaomi has launched the Mi Mix 3 in China and is one of the first phones to come with 5G support and 10 GB DDR4 Ram.

The company is planning to launch the Mi Mix 4 which comes with under-display front cameras. It is one of the first mobiles in the world to offer this new tech.

Above leaked image shows a slightly curved display with thin bezels for the upcoming Xiaomi mobile.

Notably, Mi Mix 4 can have a 6.6 Inches FHD+ 1080×2340, 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. Apart from that, the phone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU onboard along with 10/12GB RAM and up to 256GB inbuilt storage option.

4. Xiaomi POCO F2

Poco F2 is a mystery phone that no one knows if it will ever see the light of the day. POCO F1 was launched with a lot of bells and whistles and a new sub-brand was made by Xiaomi.

However, the company has failed to launch any other phones under the sub-brand. While we were expecting them to launch Poco F2, the company launched the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro.

The Poco F2 will come with top of the line specs, similar to the Redmi K30 Pro and will have a high refresh rate FHD+, AMOLED display.

Further, it can come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus Octa-Core processor and Adreno 640 GPU.

The smartphone has 8 GB of Ram and 128 GB of storage. For imaging, it will have a Quad-Rear camera setup with a 64 MP primary sensor and wide-angle, telephoto and macro lens.

Considering Realme is developing its own OS, we can expect POCO F2 to have a more stock Android-like experience and a more customized MIUI version.

We are still awaiting an official word on the POCO F2 from the brand and will update once we know more.

We can expect the Price for the POCO F2 to be close to Rs. 23,999 in India.

5). Xiaomi Mi Max 3/Mi Max 3 Pro

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a mammoth phone. And the new Mi Max 3 is no different. The Mi Max 3 was launched in China a couple of weeks back and comes with a massive display and battery capacity.

The phone comes with a dual-camera rear setup which looks very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and also has a similar configuration (12+5) MP lenses. At the front, there is a more humble 8-megapixel camera that comes with

The Mi Max 3 will likely come with an enormous 6.9-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080) IPS LCD screen along with a modern 18:9 aspect ratio. It doesn’t have a notch like most phones launching in recent weeks.

Apparently, Xiaomi may launch another variant – Mi Max 3 Pro – after the launch of Mi Max 3. This is in relation to the posts that made rounds on the Chinese social networking website, Weibo.

Interestingly, the Mi Max 3 came with the tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Octa-Core processor with Adreno 509 GPU. Additionally, the mobile has a massive 5500 mAh battery. It is not clear, but rumors suggest that the PRO variant can come with the Snapdragon 670 or the 710 processor.

The phone comes with 4 GB Ram and is available in 64 GB storage versions.
