After a few weeks or months of launch, it is essential that mobiles get a price cut or price drop to stay competitive, or at times it is done to boost sales by the companies.

Vivo Z1 PRO and Z1X Price Drop by Rs. 1000

Some good news for Vivo fans. Vivo has cut the price for Z1 Pro as well as the Z1X in India by Rs. 1,000. 

Vivo Z1 PRO – It was available for Rs. 13,990 for the 4 GB Ram and 64 GB version and after the price drop you can buy it for Rs. 12,990. The 6 GB Ram and 64 GB version was available for Rs. 14,990 and now is available for Rs. 13,990.

The key highlight features fo Vivo Z1 Pro is 5000 mAH Battery, Snapdragon 712 Processor, an FHD+ display, triple rear cameras, and 32 MP selfie camera.


Vivo Z1x – The Vivo Z1x was available for Rs. 15,990 for 4 GB ram version but after the price drop, you can buy it for Rs. 14,990. The 6 GB ram version was available for Rs. 16,990 earlier, is now available for Rs. 15,990.

The highlight features of the Vivo Z1X are SD 712 Processor, FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4500 mAH battery, Android 9,  48 MP Triple rear cameras, 32 MP Selfie camera.


Samsung Galaxy A50 And Galaxy A70 – Price Drop by Rs. 2000

Samsung is launching the successor to the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 in Mid-January 2020. Ahead of the launch of new phones the company has cut the price for Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A70. 


The Galaxy A50 with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage was earlier available for Rs. 19,990 but now it will cost Rs. 17,990. On the other hand, the Galaxy A70 was available for Rs. 24,990 with 6 GB Ram and 128 GB storage, now it is available for Rs. 22,990. 

Samsung has not only cut the prices online for these models but also in the retail stores.

Oppo K1 Price Drop of Rs. 2000

Oppo K1 was launched for Rs. 16,990 in the first half of 2019 and now the mobile has got a second price cut.


The phone was earlier available for Rs. 12,990 and now it has got an Rs. 2000 discount and is available for just Rs. 10,990 on Flipkart. 

Notably, the Oppo K1 comes with Dual Rear cameras, 25 MP selfie camera, 3600 mAH capacity battery, SD 660 and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Vivo V15 and V15 PRO Price Drop of 2k

Vivo has cut the price for the V15 and now the device is available for Rs. 19,990. Notably, it was launched at Rs. 23,990 and due to stiff competition, the company has dropped the price.

The Vivo V15 comes with a stunning dual-tone design and has triple rear cameras and a 32 MP pop up front selfie camera.

The Vivo V15 Pro has got a recent price cut and now the mobile is available for Rs. 19,999 (6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage) from the earlier price of Rs. 23,990.

Further, the Vivo V15 Pro with 8 GB Ram and 128 GB storage is available for Rs. 22,990, Rs. 5000 down from the launch price.

iPhone XR Massive Price Cut

7-April-2019 – Apple has dropped the price for the iPhone XR in the Indian market from a starting price of Rs. 76,900 to Rs. 59,900. A massive price cut of Rs. 17,000 only after 5 months of launch. 

Another price cut has happened after the launch of the iPhone 11 and now it is available for Rs. 49,990.


The new price is closer to the Samsung Galaxy S10E. 

Moreover, I think Apple missed the train by not cutting the price at the launch of the Samsung S10 series. 

Asus Zenfone 5Z, Zenfone Max Pro M2, Zenfone Max M2, Max M1

2/March/2019 – Asus has cut the prices permanently for 4 smartphones, starting 2nd March 2019.

Smartphones such as Zenfone Max Pro M1, Max Pro M2, Max 2 and the Zenfone 5Z prices are slashed to make these phones more attractive. Here are the confirmed latest prices shared to us by Asus India.

Asus Zenfone Max PRO M2

The biggest price drop we have seen so far from Asus Zenfone Line up. The Zenfone 5Z 6 GB version price is slashed by Rs. 5000. The Max Pro M2 by Rs. 3000.


Nokia 6.1 – (Price Cut of Rs. 2000)

Nokia 6.1 is now available for an affordable price tag of Rs. 6,999 for the 3 GB ram and 32 GB storage versions. Earlier the mobile was available for Rs. 8,999.

Also, the 4 GB ram and 64 GB storage variant has got a price cut of Rs. 1000. It is now available for Rs. 9,999.

Oppo F9 Pro 

Oppo F9 Pro was launched for Rs. 21,990 in the Indian market, back in August 2019. We did a detailed review of the device and it was a good phone for the money.

Realme 2 Pro

After the recent price drop of the Realme U1, now the brand has gone ahead and slashed the price for the top-selling Realme 2 Pro in India. Two variants of the Realme 2 Pro has got a price cut of Rs. 1000.

  • Earlier Price – Rs. 13,990
  • New Price – Rs. 12,990

RealME U1 – 6 GB Ram and 64 GB

Samsung Galaxy S9+

  • Earlier Price – Rs. 64,990
  • New Price – Rs. 43,990

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ has got a price cut of Rs. 20000 and is now available for Rs. 43,990. Samsung earlier used to reduce the price of mobiles after a couple of months of launch.


But this time they have kept the price for flagship the same for almost 9 months post-launch. Of course, you can get the S9 or S9+ cheaper during the special sale days from Flipkart.

Vivo Nex

  • Earlier Price – Rs. 44,990
  • New Price – Rs. 35,220

Vivo has cut the price for the popping camera phone – Vivo Nex in India from Rs. 44,990 to Rs. 35,220. The Rs. 10000 price cut for the Vivo Nex is permanent and will be across offline and online channels.


The Vivo Nex is available in the single 128 GB storage and 8 GB Ram version. The new price is already reflecting on the Amazon India website and you can buy it if you are planning to purchase.

Moto G5s Plus

Motorola Moto G5s Plus was launched in India in August 2017. At the time of its launch, it was exclusively available on Amazon.

  • Old Price – Rs. 15,999

Moto G5s Plus

The mobile features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD full HD (1920 x 1080) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Moto G5s Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, along with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics.

The most striking part feature of the phone is its rear camera module. It comes with a dual 13 MP + 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED dual-tone flash.

The smartphone boots Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and is upgradable to Android Oreo 8.0 operating system. Moto G5s Plus offer almost stock Android experience and comes with some Moto-specific features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Amazon India Launch

The phone has a massive 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Dual 12 MP + 12 MP rear camera setup takes excellent photos, and an 8 MP front facing camera is there for taking selfies.

It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and gets power from an Exynos 8895 chipset. Additionally, it packs a 3300 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.

The Galaxy A8+ was launched in India in January 2018.

The phone features a 6 inch Super AMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2220 pixels) 18:9 display. The mobile has an aluminum body and looks beautiful from the back.

Nokia 8

Nokia 8 has received a massive, much-needed price cut of Rs. 8,000. The smartphone was retailing for Rs. 36,999 and now is available for Rs. 28,999.

The previous price was high in comparison to the rival offering like OnePlus 5T, Huawei Honor View 10 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

Flagship Nokia 8 Launch Detailed Specs Camera

Notably, the Nokia 8 is one of the first phones to run on the Android Oreo 8.0 OS, other than the Pixel phones.

Powering the phone is the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 4 GB Ram. The storage space is 64 GB, expandable up to 256 GB.

Besides, it comes with Dual 13 MP rear cameras with Zeiss Optics and even has a 13 MP selfie camera.

Notably, the phone has a 5.3 inch QHD display (2560*1440), with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Even the battery capacity is decent (3090 mAH). Even after the price drop, it faces a fierce battle against the OnePlus 5T and Honor View 10, both come with the voguish 18:9 display.

Samsung S8 Plus

In March 2017, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The Samsung S8 Plus comes with 6.20 inches display with a resolution of 2960*1440 pixels at a PPI of 529. The S8 draws power from 2.35 GHz Octa-core, Samsung Exynos 8895 processor coupled with 4/6 GB of RAM. The phone comes with 64G/128 GB of internal storage. After the launch of the Samsung Note 8 (6 GB RAM), the Samsung S8 Plus (6 GB RAM) has got a reduction in price from Rs. 74,900 to Rs. 65,500. The price cut is available on the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version while the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage version is still priced at Rs. 64,900.

Samsung S8 and S8 Plus : All We Know Ahead of Today's Launch

The smartphone price is down to Rs. 65,900, after the recent launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Apple iPhone 6 (32 GB)

For starters, Apple iPhone 6 is still selling well despite dated hardware. It comes with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display.  The iPhone 6 has an A8 chipset which is accompanied by the PowerVR GX6450 GPU and has just 1 GB of Ram. The phone comes with an 8 Megapixel rear camera which offers above average camera experience.

Also, there is a 1.12 MP front selfie camera which is again not comparable to Android phones in this price range. Notably, the iPhone 6 has a price reduction from Rs. 28,999 to 25,999 on Amazon India for a limited time.

Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone was launched in last year in September. The mobile was initially available for Rs. 20,000, but after a series of price cuts, it is now available for just Rs. 10,300 for the 64 GB version.

Moreover, if you wish to buy the 32 GB version, can grab that for just Rs. 9,700 from Amazon. The Z2 Plus was an exciting phone when it was launched as it comes with the top of line Snapdragon 800 series processor – SD 820.

Also, there is 4 GB Ram, and it comes with a decent pair of cameras at the back and front. Furthermore, the 5.0 Inch display makes it portable for those who don’t like huge displays. But it is bulky on account of a massive 3500 mAH battery fitted inside a smaller body.
