Asus has refreshed the last year’s G14 gaming laptop with new AMD Processors – Ryzen 5000 series. The key advantage of the Ryzen 5000 series is improved gaming performance and single-core performance.
The number of Cores is the same for the new Ryzen 5000 Vs. the last year’s Ryzen 4000 models.
The multitasking performance is also nearly the same, but the gains in Single-Core performance and gaming improve these new machines.

This is the best variant as we are getting the 8 Core processor, RTX 3060, which is much faster than the GTX 1650, and also we have 1 TB SSD and 16 gigs of onboard Ram. There will not be many benefits going with the higher variant with 5900Hs, but the price difference is enormous.

The laptop is no slouch when it comes to battery performance, it offers close to 10 hours of battery life and also comes with fast charging support (180 watts).
Impressive…. who wants One….
I think it is the best portable laptop that you can use for anything from gaming to office work to video editing.
Weighing 1.6 Kg, it is easy to carry and even use when placed on your lap. There is hardly anything available like the Asus G14 in the market.
Other good Choices are Asus Zephyrus G15, HP Omen, and the Lenovo Legion.
I will still prefer the G14 considering the monstrous AMD Ryzen processors that offer better performance than the Intel rivals.
Heating And High Temps – Asus G14
The only downside with these laptops is excessive heat. The reported temps are close to 90 degrees Celcius for the internal parts, which also makes the keyboard and the display area hot.
If you are gaming for long, an air-conditioned room and a good laptop fan more fantastic may help, or you can look at under-volts the processor or even disable the Turbo boost to ensure less heat.
Since Asus has packed enormous power in this thin and small form factor laptop, heat dissipation is a problem for the higher-end variants.
